Hamburg Mutts for Freedom is a foster-based rescue, meaning that we do not have a physical shelter or facility in which to house dogs. All of our rescue dogs are fostered in volunteers’ homes. The more fosters we have, the more dogs we can save.
Fostering is completely free. We will provide food, supplies, and veterinary care for the dogs. All you have to do is provide a loving home. If you can’t commit to long-term fostering, please consider applying to be a “relief” foster when our regular fosters go on vacation.
Can’t foster but still want to help? We need volunteers to help with adoption events, fundraising, walking dogs, and administrative tasks such as checking references and performing home visits.
Adoption fees do not cover all of our expenses. Monetary donations are gratefully accepted. You may send Paypal donations to firstname.lastname@example.org. Please choose the “friends and family” option. If you’d prefer to send money the old-fashioned way, simply send us a message and we’ll give you a mailing address for your donation. All donations are tax-deductible and we will gladly provide a receipt upon request.
We also have a wishlist on Amazon: http://a.co/cS6sHtq
Do you have a “party animal” who would love to help pets? Consider hosting a party and requesting donations in lieu of gifts. We will gladly arrange for pick-up of donations and we would love to feature your donation on our Facebook page.
Cans & Bottles
Do you recycle bottles and cans? Now you can help our dogs by taking your recyclable cans and bottles to Can Bottle Return Company Inc. at 4255 Clark Street in Hamburg, NY! The money from your recyclables will be donated to our dogs – just mention to the people there that you would like the money to go to Hamburg Mutts for Freedom.
